Racine & Me: Preventative pet care & vaccine clinics
RACINE, WI (CBS 58) -- Preventative care for your pets is so crucial for their health and happiness.
Jenna Crawford is the Director of Youth Programs for the Wisconsin Humane Society. She joined us in studio to talk about preventative care they provide for pets in Racine County.
Preventative care is important for your pets and that includes vaccinations. WHS offers low-cost public vaccine clinics at their campuses and spay/neuter clinic.
The core vaccines are $16 each with the option to add on additional services.
These services are available whether your pet was adopted from WHS or not.
There are several dates available for appointments this spring.
Appointments are required and can be made online at wihumane.Org
Shelby County Health Department Hosts Free Pet Vaccination Clinic Today
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Need help with keeping your pet up-to-date on shots?
A drive-thru clinic will take place in Shelby County on Saturday, April 13, 2024, allowing owners to bring in their cats and dogs for rabies and parvovirus vaccinations and to get them microchipped.
But there's a catch: Supplies are limited.
The event takes place between 8 a.M.-noon April at the Shelby County Health Department's (SCHD) Environmental Services, located at 1826 Sycamore View Road. It will be hosted by SCHD, Memphis Animal Services (MAS) and All 4s Rescue League.
The clinic is offering 250 rabies vaccinations and pet license tags and 250 microchips, all at no costs. Microchipping will "greatly increase the odds that a lost pet is returned to its owner," county health officials said in a news release.
However, the service comes at a first-come, first-serve basis, officials said.
All 4s Rescue League will be offering vaccinations against the parvovirus.
